I. General Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Ownership. This website www.sg/LIVE ("Website") belongs to the Government of the Republic of Singapore c/o the Ministry of Information, Communications and The Arts (MICA) ("Owner"). By registering an account and accessing and posting contents on this Website, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website.
2. Purpose. This Website is set up to encourage participants to hold active, open and constructive discussions.
3. Liability. All posts on LIVE@SG are the views of the author posting the contents. The Owners will not be responsible for the contents of any messages or posts. The author shall be solely responsible for the contents and shall indemnify and keep the Owner and its employees/agents indemnified against all actions, demands, proceedings, claims, liabilities, damages, losses and costs, made against or suffered or incurred by the Owner and/or its employees/agents arising directly or indirectly from the posting of the contents on the Website by the author. The author shall also hold harmless the Owners and its employees/agents for any losses and/or damages suffered by the author arising directly or indirectly from the posting of the contents on the Website by the author.

5. Responsibilities of users. By using LIVE@SG, you warrant that you:

3. will not post any materials or contents or link to any materials or contents that are vulgar, obscene, sexually-oriented, hateful, racially or ethically offensive, malicious, inaccurate, knowingly false, deceptive, threatening, defamatory and/or otherwise objectionable or in violation of any law;
4. will not spam, solicit business or advertise or promote any business or materials unless prior written permission is granted by MICA. Threads that are determined to be "spam", pyramid schemes, "chain letters", or "junk mail" will be deleted without notice;
5. will not post any materials or contents that violate any intellectual property rights (including copyright, patent, trademark and trade secret,) of any party;
6. will not cause any disruption howsoever and by whatsoever means; And
6. Rights of the Owner. The Owner reserves all rights in its absolute discretion to:
1. Suspend and/or ban any user from using/accessing the Website and/or terminate the registration of any user if the user breaches any of the Terms and Conditions of Use and/or uses the Website in a manner detrimental to the Owner;
2. remove, edit, move or close any posting or discussion thread as it deems fit for any reason without notice to anyone;
3. vary, add and/or delete any of these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time or to suspend or discontinue the Website without prior notice or liability to any person; and
4. refer any posting and/or users to relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Disputes. All Terms and Conditions of Use of this Website shall be subject to interpretation of the Owner and all decisions of the Owner shall be final and binding. No appeals against the decisions of the Owner will be entertained.
8. The Owner has the right to use or disclose any information of participants collected through this Consent for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes or to anyone including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, regulatory authorities.
9. Comments/posting/messages that are deemed inappropriate will be taken down immediately without entertainment of any queries.
10. Governing law. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
