Partnership Opportunities
The year-long APEC meetings aim to facilitate economic growth, with the agenda largely in support of trade and investment liberalisation and facilitation.
Partnership provides good opportunities for private sector organisations to associate their names with this prestigious forum.
In addition, partners are able to profile their organisations to an international audience from across the 21 APEC member economies, accounting for nearly half of the world's population, more than half of the world's GDP and about half of world trade.
Partners of APEC Singapore 2009 will be able to:
Demonstrate support for APEC goals of facilitating economic growth, trade and investment liberalisation and facilitation;
Strategically position their organisations, showcase their products and services to about 15,000 international delegates including business representatives, ministers and leaders of these economies at key meetings throughout 2009.
Meetings include Senior Officials' Meetings (SOM), Ministerial Meetings such as the Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT), and the Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting (SMEMM).
The meetings will culminate with Leaders Week which will be attended by the leaders of these economies. In total, more than a hundred meetings will take place from February through November 2009.
